Birdy Blast

One furious old man. One tiny bird who refuses to lose.

It starts with a story: Birdy visits the same backyard feeder every morning, through summer, autumn, winter and spring. Then one day the feeder is empty and the old man tells her she isn't welcome any more. She comes back with the whole flock.

50 levels, and every one is a different puzzle. Seven kinds of challenge keep rotating so you never settle in: blast only the colour being called, clear the flock without ever hitting a baby chick, don't wake the sleeping birds, spot the hunter's fake balloon decoys, find the odd ones out, follow a colour that keeps changing, and Steady Hand, where every miss costs you.

Three hearts a level. Break the level's rule and you lose one. Lose all three and you simply start again - no timers, no lives to buy, hearts refill every try. The first time each challenge appears the game stops completely and shows a picture of exactly what to blast and what to leave alone, so nobody ever loses a heart to a rule they weren't taught.

An angry old man throwing his house at you. Chairs, hammers, wellies, a frying pan, a rubber duck, even the chicken - flying out of the screen and past your face. Completely harmless. Purely for the laugh.

A bonus gate every 5th level - nine 30-second mini-games, one each, no repeats: Sonar Pulse, Hunter Chase, Nest Defender, Bird Stampede, Flock Leader, Birdy's Revenge, Birdy Collect, Hunter's Last Stand and The Gauntlet.

THE FINAL SHOWDOWN - a real boss fight in front of Level 50. The Hunter is back with a jeep, backup and a health bar.

The Garden Road - 10 hand-crafted levels of Grow the World: the Hunter paved the street grey, so tap seeds into trees and honk his jeep away.

The Night Road - 10 levels of Ink Rescue under the stars: draw rainbow ink walls with your finger to block the Hunter's shots. You never fire once.

A real ending. Beat Level 50 and the old man throws away his hat, sets down a feeder full of seed and says he's sorry. Birdy forgives him and lands on his hands.
