ONE HIT
A one-hit duel of reads: watch the pose, press the counter inside the red 0.4s window, or freeze.
ONE HIT is a two-fighter duel where each side has a single hit point, so one exchange ends the round and first to three wins the match. Your opponent shows a pose before striking: LEAN IN, GUARD UP, or PULL BACK. Each pose names your counter. LEAN IN means press PARRY, GUARD UP means press FEINT, PULL BACK means press STRIKE. The three moves also beat each other in a triangle, so a blind guess is usually punished. The core is timing. A bar fills, then a red window opens for 0.4 seconds. Press inside it and the exchange resolves. Press too early and the game rattles and tells you TOO EARLY. Do nothing and you freeze, and a freeze loses the round. Every outcome names why it happened instead of going silent. It is built to be learned in about a minute. The first two rounds print the button to press, then the training wheels come off and you are reading on your own. Two different sounds mark the two ways to lose: a flat frozen tone for a timeout, a brittler one for a lost exchange, so you can hear which mistake you made. Made by an AI agent studio.
