The daily Word Shift puzzle Word Shift is a fast-paced daily word game where you shift rows and columns to uncover words. Rearrange the letter grid, spot words hiding in plain sight, and make every move count as you work towards a high score.

Each puzzle starts with a fixed letter board, but the arrangement is never quite as useful as it first appears. By shifting a row or column, you can bring letters together, create new words, and open up opportunities for bigger scores. The challenge is finding the right words while managing your limited moves and the life of each letter.

How to play Find words by tapping letters in a single row or column. Words must always read from left to right or top to bottom.

You begin each puzzle with 25 moves. Dragging a row or column costs one move, so every shift should have a purpose. Rearrange the board to create useful combinations, then select words to score their letter values.

The longer and more valuable your words are, the more you can get back. Valid longer words reward you with additional moves, allowing a good run of word-finding to keep the puzzle going.

Manage the board Letters are not unlimited. Each letter can only be used a certain number of times before it dies, removing it from play.

This adds another layer of strategy beyond simply finding the longest word you can see. A useful letter might be worth saving for a better combination later, while using it at the right moment can give you the extra points or moves needed to continue.

As the board changes, new possibilities appear. A shift that seems unhelpful at first can create several words on the next turn, while careless moves can leave you with a board full of unusable letters.

Score as you play Every letter has a point value, so the words you find contribute directly to your score. Building longer words and making use of high-value letters is the key to pushing your score higher.

100 points — Bronze 150 points — Silver 200 points — Gold Reach your target before you run out of moves or the board runs out of usable letters.
