Q1

Was the story interesting enough to make you want to continue playing? Why or why not?

The artwork and music were absolutely beautiful, especially on the opening screen! However, I felt that the introduction was a little too lengthy and dialogue-heavy, with very limited player interaction beyond clicking through conversations. I also noticed that the pauses between dialogue scenes were quite long, leaving me waiting for the next scene to begin. Shortening these transitions and introducing more interactive elements earlier on would help improve the pacing and keep players engaged while still allowing them to enjoy the story.

Q2

Was the story and quest objective clear, or were there moments when you felt confused?

Dialogue unexpectedly switches languages, making it seem like a character is speaking a different language that the protagonist understands. That was really confusing at times and pulled me out of the game

Q3

Did you encounter any bugs, glitches, or technical issues while playing the demo? If so, please describe what happened.

Some dialogue captions and interface text remain in another language despite English being selected.

Q4

Were the attacks and skills easy to understand and use?

The instruction explaining that J is the attack button appears later than needed, leaving the player without timely combat guidance. I felt confused and basically just stumbled upon the correct key when I pressed every key on my keyboard.

Q5

Which part of the demo did you enjoy the most, and which part did you enjoy the least?

The part I enjoyed most was the story revealing that the main character has special powers. I thought this was an interesting development that made me curious to learn more about his abilities and how they would play into the story. I also really enjoyed Sera's character! I felt that she was well-written, and through her dialogue alone, I was able to get a good sense of her personality and the kind of person she is. This made the storytelling feel more engaging and helped me connect with the characters.

The part I enjoyed least was the pacing of the introduction. While I appreciated the storytelling, the lengthy dialogue sequences and pauses between scenes made the beginning feel a little slow, especially with limited opportunities for player interaction. Additionally, the inconsistent language in the subtitles was distracting and occasionally confusing, particularly since I had selected English as my preferred language.

Q6

What are the three most important things I should improve before the next demo?

  1. Fix English subtitles throughout the game. 2. Improve introduction pacing and shorten dialogue delays. 3. Introduce combat controls clearly before they're needed.
