About this game

Retro style action brawler typing game. Kind of like Typing of the Dead meets Streets of Rage.

Keys of Fury is a typing beat 'em up by Elecorn, a one person studio, released on Steam for Windows on November 24, 2025 at $4.99. You play Tai Ping, a martial artist whose every punch, kick and flip is a word or phrase typed correctly, and the game is built around accuracy rather than raw speed: a typo hits you as hard as an enemy does. The words get longer and stranger as the crowds get bigger, so a clean combo through a screen of robots, ninjas and vegetable vendors is the whole thrill.

Story mode runs through warehouses, construction sites and factories with ability upgrades and unlockable outfits between fights. Arcade mode drops the narrative for one off scenarios, from a footrace against a raptor to delivering the punchlines of dad jokes to roguelike rumbles, with upgrades between rounds. A level editor with mod support lets players change the words, art, music and outfits to build their own stages. The game is keyboard only, and it holds a 95% positive rating from 43 Steam reviews. A free demo is on Steam and itch.io.
