Bricks & Bribes

The goal

Get rich, and pull off the secret goal you were dealt at the start of the match. Your rivals are each chasing a goal of their own, and nobody knows what anyone else is after until it's too late.

Gameplay

Every round opens with a sealed-bid auction for the land: everyone bids blind, and the top bid wins at the runner-up's price. Then it's your turn to build, upgrade, convert or demolish. Every street wants some kinds of building more than others, and rent follows that demand, so where you build matters as much as what you build.

Every turn also brings you action points to spend from your office. Hire contacts who work for you every turn, call in moves of your own, or pick a rival from the registry and make their day worse. When they come for you, raise an Objection! or let it pass.

What makes it different

Economy games tend to go one of two ways: spreadsheets you drown in, or cartoons that have nothing to do with how money really moves. Bricks & Bribes stays true to economics, but it never forgets it's a game. And because your goal is dealt rather than chosen, there is no safe play, and nobody sees yours coming.

Modes and progression

Play a full match against computer rivals, or take the guided tutorial first to learn the ropes. You get a new hidden goal every match. The city stays the same in this demo; the full game builds a new one every time.
